I guess right now you are ready to venture to the world of blogging, let’s proceed to one of the most expected of common bloggers from their blog; making profit from blogs.
But if you think that making profits from blogs is simple as breathing then you got it wrong, making profit from blogs take a lot of work and effort my friend, it takes time.
Before I venture into making profits from blogs, I applied for a debit card in our local bank that has VISA so I could link it to Paypal [You will need this ofcourse, Where will you take your blog profit then? But you can also try other transactions]
Second, I borrowed ample money to start up so I could place Ads on my WordPress blog, I encountered a mistake before when I just got a domainblabla.wordpress.com and yet I placed HMTL/Texts on my Widgets regarding Affiliates then boom, my blog suddenly removed from the server due to conditions and all those rules and regulations. [Read the rules and regulations first, learn from my mistakes LOL]
So I applied for a Plan and a Domain at WordAds then WP automates ads according to your blog content. If you’re thinking you will be spending out cash just for a start-up then you’re a bit selfish =) there are some things we need to give so we could take something back, and it’s the Law of Equivalent Rate [Well, it’s according to an Anime Full Metal Alchemist and it definitely works in the real world]
If you’re planning on making profits from blogs you could search for them but most of the bloggers out there use the following:
- WordAds: I use these =) not because I endorsed it or sucking someone’s thumb but I started with WordPress and I am comfortable with it and it’s features (You can see you stats, earnings and things alike.)
- Google Adsense: I tried applying for Google Adsense before but it needs some requirements and a review and it takes time, you can venture here and Google has a nice SEO if you ask me but I’ll stick to WP =)
- Amazon Affiliate Programs: You can choose several Programs in different categories that match your Blog, As I have said if you are on Book Reviews you can sell Kindles, Bundles and Books from Amazon. =)
- Commission Junction: CJ is an affiliate marketing place where you can also choose what items and stuffs you want to sell on you blog and it has commissions based on purchases, to tell you honestly I have an account in CJ but I’m not that well versed in this field. But I could advise you to read their “How it Works” =) Same principles that apply with Amazon.
There are lots of Affiliate Programs but mind you gentlemen and ladies, Place Ads according to your Blog content. You can’t just place Basketball Jerseys on your Blog and you’re content is all about Gardening, like who the hell does that?
We’ve discussed already several factors that will affect your blog and slowly but surely we can do this.
Another thing you have to consider is your target audience, you already knew what to do prior to conveying it to the world but knowing who to talk to is another story to cover up.
Your target audience must be between let’s say 16 since I knew by that age some teenagers would discuss about their love life, crush and things alike and ranging to let’s say 50 for elders who talks about parenting, life and struggles and so.
But if you would discuss about Gaming then your target audience will be narrowed down to males in majority who loves gaming of course, but then you still have to narrow it down to either Desktop gaming, Online Gaming, Consoles etc.
Therefore, if you want to create a blog for specific people; think like them, place your self on to their shoe.

Actually the word blog came to existence as an alternative for a diary and since we are already in the world of fast pacing technology it moved along with the pace.
So you don’t have to worry about your grammar just like your diary and it is not like your term paper that will be checked by your professor or an article that will be proof read by your editor in chief.
It is your blog and it is yours, so you are the master of it. But be mindful of your words, blogs reflects on the person creating it. You would be thinking I am an expert in articles or write ups, you’re definitely wrong. I just want to convey what things I am interested in and I am fond of teaching other people what I know.
Going back, don’t be conscious on your grammar. Nevertheless, you shouldn’t use peculiar words here; you just need to say what you want to say in a very simple method that all of us understand. Why? The reason why people search the internet is because they cannot thoroughly understand what a book tries to explain or what the hell is there teacher speaking in front of them, so they search for easier understanding of things.
The hell with grammars and just type what your mind dictates.
Since we’ve already talked about types of blogs and how to differentiate them, we can now proceed on choosing a topic.
Based on your type of blog you can choose any topic. (Note: It’s better for you to blog about a topic which you know alot about or you have passion in it than nothing at all)
If you’re a Nurse definitely you can’t blog about finance or buildings, Like Duh! You could but the credibility isn’t there and we’ll talk about credibility on the next chapter.
Let’s say you are a computer studies student, You can’t just blog about the world of computer it’s just vast. Narrow it down my friend, you can focus on Computer Programming, then in Computer Programming you can concentrate on a specific Language like C++ or Java. Narrow what’s broad and from there widen your knowledge.
